Morning Sessions: Going Paperless and Introduction to Motion

Katie Floyd - Going Paperless

The first of two morning sessions I attended this morning was hosted by Katie Floyd and attorney and lead figure of a Mac User group. This session concentrated on shaping your office work flow to become more efficient and eco friendly by going paperless. Katie had some handy tips and trick in this field which would certainly be of interest in anybody swamped in paper work and having difficulty keeping on top of the administration and storing of documents.

I also attended session Apple Motion Fast-Start  with Mark Spencer. Mark introduced the basic of Apple’s motion software and made some interesting examples about its advantages over after effects. He pointed out how Motion is more fluid, faster and offers real time previews which could in some instances make my workflow and more efficient and allow me to create certain projects faster than if I had used after effects. Really useful to see examples of how the gap between slide shows and full motion graphics can be filled.
